Dr. Riley

Dr. Riley grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, where her passion for animals inspired her early dream of becoming a veterinarian. She pursued that dream at Mississippi State University, earning her undergraduate degree in Animal and Dairy Sciences before completing her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

During her training, Dr. Riley developed a strong interest in surgery and orthopedic medicine, along with a passion for the unique challenges and diversity of exotic animal care. She also has a special interest in animal behavior and is certified in Fear Free® handling techniques, helping to ensure a low-stress, compassionate experience for every patient.

Dr. Riley began her veterinary career serving four years in the U.S. Army, where she gained valuable experience and a strong foundation in veterinary medicine. She is excited to bring those skills back home to Illinois and serve her local community.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Riley enjoys spending time with her husband and children, along with their dog, Belle, and tortoise, Jake. In her free time, she loves hiking, kayaking, painting, and traveling.
