Puppy Kindergarten
We would like to introduce you to our Puppy Kindergarten. Puppy Kindergarten is designed for all puppies from 6 weeks to 6 months of age to teach them basic obedience, socialization, and confidence. Teaching your puppy to be comfortable while being handled by someone new or being around other animals will help them establish confidence and create a solid relationship for their future visits to the veterinary office or the dog park. From walking on a lead without pulling to learning to sit and stay, this class is designed to give both you and your puppy the start that creates a strong and loving relationship. Puppy Kindergarten is open to the community, come join us.
Class Requirements:
- Puppy must be between 6 weeks and 6 months of age.
- Puppy must have their 1st Distemper/Parvo Vaccine & a Bordetella (Caine Cough) Vaccination. (Bring verification at time of payment.)
- Puppy must have tested Negative for an Intestinal Parasite Screen. (Bring verification at time of payment.)
- Puppy must be on Flea Control
- Must have owned puppy for more than one week.
Class Schedule:

- Class begins at 6 pm.
- Classes run for 6 consecutive weeks.
Cost:
- $75.00 for the six week class.
Payment must be received 1 week prior to the beginning of class.

Puppy Parties
A puppy party is a 45 minute party to get your puppy comfortable with other pets and people. This time will expose your puppy to being handled by someone they are not familiar with, teach you techniques for establishing a proper and strong relationship with your puppy, address potty training and early behavioral issues and allow them to become confident around other pets. It is a good time for both puppies and owners as you enjoy one another's puppies and learn some great tools to use with you own. Your puppy will have fun becoming more comfortable with being touched. Puppy Parties are not designed to teach obedience. They are open to all Pekin Veterinary Clinic customers and the community at large.
Puppy Party Requirements:
- Puppy must be between 6 weeks and 6 months of age.
