Ellen Slack, Reception
I have worked as a receptionist at Pekin Veterinary Clinic for 11 years. I grew up in Peoria and later married and moved to the Manito area. We have 4 children and 8 grandchildren, and we are very proud of them. My hobbies are gardening and boating with our 5 dogs: "Holly" a Lab mix, "Humphrey" a Sharpei mix, "Kelsea" a Dachshund mix, "Nadia" a Shih-Tzu, and "Jack" a Lab. They all think they need to sleep in our bed every night and that can get pretty crowded! I enjoy working at the clinic with our staff, our clients, and my favorite - our patients.
Venisa Brown, Reception
I have been a veterinary receptionist since 2001. My educational background includes a certificate in dental assisting from Illinois Central College Class of '83. I also earned an associate's degree in Arts and Sciences from I.C.C. in 1994.
I have always enjoyed being around animals. I grew up in the country and was involved in 4-H when young. My current pets include Scout, a Shepherd mix and Dixie, a Rat Terrier. My outside interests include camping and riding ATVs.
